When installing the Bark for Kids app, you may have come across a security prompt warning you about installing apps from "unknown sources," as seen below:

If you've already enabled this setting on your child's Android device, you may have to enable the setting on your parent Family Link app as well! This article discusses how to enable the setting on your parent Family Link app so that you can install the Bark for Kids app on your child's Android without the need to uninstall Family Link!

STEP 1: Open your parent Family Link app on your phone

The app can be found by the following icon:

STEP 2: Scroll down to your child and tap their name

STEP 3: Scroll down to the device settings and tap on Settings

STEP 4: Tap on Apps from unknown sources

Tap the slider next to Apps from Unknown Sources so that it is enabled (ie. not grey/white):
