Is my child's iOS device compatible with Bark?

Bark is able to monitor the content of devices with Apple's iOS 11 or later.

Bark supports Screen Time and Web Filtering on devices with Apple's iOS 11 or later as well.

  • Unsure which version your child's device is on? 
    Tap on their Settings app > General > Software Update. If the version is 11+, then Bark can monitor your child's device!

NOTE: At this time, Bark is not compatible with Beta versions of iOS or jailbroken iOS devices.

Is my child's Android device compatible with Bark?

Bark is able to monitor the content of devices with Android version 5.0 or later.

Bark supports Screen Time and Web Filtering on devices with Android version 6.0 or later.

  • Unsure which version your child's device is on?
    Tap on their Settings app > System > Advanced > System update.
    NOTE: If you don't see Advanced, tap About phone.

Is my computer compatible with the Bark Desktop App?

The Bark Desktop App is only necessary if you are monitoring your child's iOS device. If your child uses an Android device or don't have content monitoring with your subscription plan, you don't need it!

The Bark Desktop App is compatible with Mac Operating System versions 10.11 or later and Windows Operating System versions 7, 8, or 10.

Is my child's computer compatible with the Bark for Chrome extension? 

The Bark for Chrome extension monitors your child's Google Chrome web browsing, web searches, and even incognito browsing on computers. 

The Bark for Chrome extension is compatible with any Windows, Mac, or Chromebook* computer that has the Google Chrome web browser installed.

NOTE: Bark is able to monitor the Chrome app automatically on connected Android or iOS phones and tablets.

*Exception: Google accounts supervised by Family Link who sign into Chromebooks automatically get all Chrome extensions blocked (whether they’re over or under 13 years old). Google accounts supervised by Family Link who sign into Windows and Mac computers do not get Chrome extensions blocked. Google accounts that are not supervised by Family Link can install Chrome extensions on Chromebooks.

Is my child's Chromebook compatible with the Bark for Chromebooks Android app?

The Bark for Chromebooks app enables Screen Time & Web Filtering on the computer. If your subscription plan includes content monitoring, it also monitors the Chromebook's saved photos and videos.

Is my child's Amazon Fire tablet compatible with Bark?

Bark is able to monitor any Amazon Fire tablet that can download the Bark for Kids app from the Amazon App Store.
